CHESTERTOWN, MD, 5/24/2017 – Benchworks announced that its president, Melissa Johnston, was recently selected as treasurer for the Mid-Atlantic chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA). Nominated by chapter president Donna Grande, the term runs through 2018.
The HBA Mid-Atlantic chapter board meets in person once each quarter and holds monthly conference calls. In addition, the organization hosts a variety of meetings throughout the year in various locations. As treasurer, Melissa will be responsible for financial statements and reporting as well as high-level review and analysis for the HBA Board of Directors.
Benchworks Supports Smithsonian “The Way We Worked” Exhibit at Sumner Hall in Chestertown, Maryland

CHESTERTOWN, MD, 4/9/2017 – The Smithsonian is coming to Chestertown, Maryland! The traveling exhibit called “The Way We Worked” will be displayed at Sumner Hall through May 20. To help promote the event, Benchworks provided strategic marketing consulting and graphic design services. Finished pieces for the promotion include the logo, advertisements, rack cards, brochures, and digital designs for use on the website and social media.
Sumner Hall was selected by Maryland Humanities as one of five host sites for its “The Way We Worked” exhibit, which is part of the Museum on Main Street project. The exhibition pays tribute to the people whose contributions made a difference in their communities.

Benchworks Names Jake King as Creative Director
King will supervise creative services throughout the entire agency.
