ACCOUNT DIRECTOR
Position Overview
As Account Director, you have overall responsibility for managing relationships with our clients, ensuring the team operates within budgets and drives account growth year-over-year. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves when necessary and fully participate in developing great work—
- Supplying strategy and insights for multiple projects running concurrently
- Providing clear, concise direction for the team to work most efficiently
- Supporting the team in every way possible throughout the planning, development, and execution of all work
Your role focuses on building the client’s business, account relationships, and team expertise, with a strong emphasis on global market engagement. You are the clients’ most respected business partner, understanding all channels within the marketing mix to create and capitalize on opportunities that best fit the brand, business, and customer needs. Global experience and launch experience are required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership necessary to direct and motivate Benchworks team members across disciplines (strategy, creative, technology & finance), translating, communicating, and prioritizing global client requirements to ensure our best work exceeds expectations
- Work with planning and creative teams to determine strategic direction for brands in global markets and ensure all work is “always” on strategy
- Deliver strategic client presentations and provide recommendations that are concise, insightful, and globally competitive
- Collaborate closely with project management to formulate comprehensive international project plans that align with strategic objectives
- Consistently build and deepen relationships at all levels within the client organization, including global stakeholders, ensuring brand continuity across regions
- Reinforce your role as a trusted advisor and consultant, offering global marketing and business solutions to drive international business growth
- Maintain a strong understanding of changes in global industry trends and how customer needs are evolving in different markets, developing relevant points of view (POVs) and case studies for client presentation
- Communicate our views and business philosophy, keeping clients updated on international industry developments
- Support new business initiatives, leveraging global client relationships in the development of agency growth
- Develop international client proposals and approve associated budgets
- Own global client financials, including forecasts, budgets, and investments, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are internationally relevant
- Oversee budget tracking across multiple global programs, collaborating with the Account and Finance teams
- Help drive the culture of Benchworks by supporting the development of team members through coaching, mentoring, and skill set enhancement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing /Advertising or related field
- 7+ years pharmaceutical agency experience, including four years of client leadership experience in global markets
- Experience marketing pharmaceutical brands across multiple international environments
- Experience managing “high science” rare disease brands globally
- Familiarity with submissions with Medical/Legal/Regulatory teams across international markets
- Superior analytical skills and global strategic thinking
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and training skills – articulate, concise, engaging, and effective at an international level
- Strong financial skills – able to manage financial complexities across global business operations
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Benchworks is a full-service advertising agency with an office in Ambler, Pennsylvania. We are seeking an Account Coordinator to support one of our busy Account Management teams.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to process and organization, coupled with a keen aptitude for marketing. The individual will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, contributing to the execution of marketing campaigns and ensuring flawless execution for our clients.
As an Account Coordinator, your primary role will be to provide administrative support to the Account Management team by preparing reports, handling information requests, and performing administrative functions. You will also assist the Account team in the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of a project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Support
- Assist with preparing and submitting materials through Veeva PromoMats, including opening codes, uploading assets, applying annotations, tagging, linking, and pulling official PMRC comments.
- Support quality control of materials prior to submission or client delivery via ZiFlow
Status & Process Management
- Maintain and update multiple status reports and worksheets across the MTPA account to ensure accuracy ahead of internal and client meetings.
- Keep project and process documentation—including contact lists and project trackers—current and organized.
Meetings & Communication
- Schedule internal and client meetings; manage calendar invites and meeting logistics.
- Attend meetings to take detailed notes, summarize action items, and distribute recaps.
Presentation & Deck Support
- Prepare and format PowerPoint presentations for internal and client meetings, ensuring accuracy, visual consistency, and adherence to brand and MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) standards. This includes gathering content, applying formatting, and finalizing materials ahead of deadlines.

SR PROJECT MANAGER
Benchworks is seeking a full-time, experienced, and polished Sr Project Manager to work on established agency brands and exciting new business accounts. The successful candidate will join our talented Project Management team in partnering with our Account Services lead(s) to deliver strategic and innovative solutions that are completed on-time and on-budget for our clients. You may also be responsible for mentoring and managing a Project Manager, as well as oversee a PM intern on your account, as assigned.
A Sr Project Manager oversees a large account’s overall multi-channel success while also coordinating the day-to-day operations for one or more workstreams, ensuring the development and delivery of agency work. A Sr Project Manager is expected to clearly articulate all facets of tactical delivery for the account and their workstream to agency and client counterparts. The Sr Project Manager is responsible for managing deadlines and budgets for agency projects and accounts. They also serve as a leader and mentor internally, and a key strategic partner on all brand teams. They may also be asked to contribute to new business requests or participate on internal BW projects and committees that drive account and PM success.
DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
- Pharmaceutical marketing (experience in both print and digital is ideal)
- Direct and ongoing interaction with client project managers and marketing operations leads
- Primary ownership of all delivery-related aspects of an assigned piece of business
- Simultaneous management of multiple projects of varying complexity
- Process and workflow management and development
- Presentation skills – small groups, team and client-facing
- Demonstrates exceptional leadership by inspiring, mentoring, and guiding teams toward success
- Global launch experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with Account lead to manage client’s strategic, timing, budgetary expectations
- Facilitate communications between internal agency team members and brand/client’s marketing operations teams and partners
- Work with internal/external cross-functional teams to understand business requirements of assigned projects and develop actionable project schedules that accurately capture the tasks, timelines, resource assignments, and milestones
- Facilitate and/or develop detail-level business rules documentation from high-level campaign business rules developed by the agency strategy team
- Manage third-party and agency partners (e.g., media vendors, technology partners) with respect to their assigned work and deliverables as they relate to your projects/accounts
- Perform campaign management functions as they relate to multi-channel marketing campaigns for your brands (e.g., inbound/outbound file feeds, ensuring direct mail/email triggers are operating correctly)
- Adhere to existing project management processes and contribute to the evolution of these in an effort to continually drive efficiencies
- Develop project-related documentation (e.g., project schedules and timelines, statements of work, work orders, change orders)
- Facilitate internal working sessions with cross-functional teams to ensure project clarity, logistics, etc. are accounted for and actionable
- Maintain all project-related financial reporting (financial status and reconciliations, etc.)
- Lead weekly internal status meetings and project-level finance meetings
- Manage key stakeholders’ expectations throughout the life cycle of the project and consistently communicate key staffing, budget, and financial performance metrics for the project
- Ongoing management and mitigation of project risk (scope/cost)
- Participate in client meetings and calls, as appropriate
- Identify need for and provide conflict resolution, team building, and other support measures, when appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience at an advertising agency, including strong digital acumen
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical project management across various digital and offline tactics (both HCP and patient)
- Background must include work with various digital marketing channels (front- and back-end website development, email marketing, CRM, SEM/SEO, analytics, etc.) as well as traditional offline industry marketing materials (brochures, sales aids, training materials, etc.) and a familiarity with the print development and production lifecycle
- Keen ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by first-hand experience in facilitation and negotiation with clients
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, SmartSheets, Ziflow, Veeva, etc. Experience in Workbook is a plus
- Soft skills such as problem solving, negotiating, teamwork and collaboration
- Positive attitude and general spirit of teamwork
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university; PMP is a plus

Strategic Deliverables
· Mine for insights through client-provided and syndicated research documents, data and analytics reports, and desk research. Support primary and secondary research activities to gain a deep understanding of your clients’ customers and their problems.
· Develop and present foundational marketing documents such as: concept briefs, competitive assessments, marketing plans, positioning territories, audience personas, brand identity roadmaps, customer journeys, message pillars, and MCM plans.
· Support internal teams across the full gamut of pharmaceutical marketing tactics – from CRM campaigns to support programs, from sales aids to rich media, from website updates to congress booth updates – ensuring clients and cross-functional teams easily understand and pull through the defined strategy.
· Lead the brand planning process for your assigned brands, collaborating with clients, cross-functional teams, and partner agencies/vendors to produce impactful plans rooted in customer data and insights. Defend proposed ideas with strong rationale.
· Track, distill, and share relevant digital, technological, cultural, and innovation-related insights to the broader team while identifying opportunities and POVs for applying findings to client challenges.
· In partnership with analytics, apply key learnings to recommend marketing program optimizations.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
· Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical or biotech marketing experience with minimum 5 years in an agency strategic planning role.
· Hands-on experience leading the creation and delivery of strategic planning deliverables for both HCP and patient brands.
· Strong presenter with track record of listening to client needs, selling in strategic offerings, and motivating buy-in on recommended strategies/tactics.
· Deep understanding of MCM principles in the pharmaceutical sector including segmentation, personalization, targeting, UX, and omnichannel.
· Experience with launch strategy, especially global launches, is strongly preferred.
Skills Required
· Self-starter able to direct business and uncover opportunities without being tasked.
· Excellent written/verbal communication and formal presentation skills in a variety of settings: one-on-one, in small/large groups, on video conference platforms, as well as outside of the organization.
· Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines on multiple, concurrent strategic projects.
· Comfort with designing processes and frameworks that will meet business objectives.
