Position Overview
As Account Director, you have overall responsibility for managing relationships with our clients, ensuring the team is working within their budgets, and generating account growth year-over-year. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves when necessary and fully participate in developing great work—supplying strategy and insights, providing clear, concise direction, and supporting the team in every way possible throughout the planning, development, and execution of all work.
Your role focuses on building the client’s business, the account relationship, and the expertise of our team. You are the clients’ most respected business partner and understand all channels within the marketing mix to create and capitalize on opportunities that fit best with the brand, business, and customer needs.
What You’ll Do
- Provide leadership necessary to direct and motivate Benchworks team members across disciplines (strategy, creative, technology & finance), effectively translating, communicating, and prioritizing client requirements to contribute and ensure the team delivers our best work that exceeds client expectations
- Work with planning and creative teams to determine strategic direction for the brand(s) and ensure all work is “always” on strategy
- Deliver strategic client presentations and providing recommendations that are concise, insightful and on point
- Consistently build and deepen relationships at all levels within the client organization, “owning” the brand point of contact (by working closely with extended account team to ensure all aspects of agency are being managed on time and on budget) and establishing 1:1 senior level relationships
- Reinforce your role as a “trusted advisor” and consultant, offering marketing and business solutions to help drive clients’ business growth
- Maintain a strong understanding of changes in the client’s industry and how customer needs are adapting, developing relevant points of view (POVs) and case studies for client presentation
- Communicate our views and business philosophy, keeping clients up to date on industry context
- Support new business initiatives and leverage client relationships in the development of agency business growth
- Develop client proposals and approve associated budgets
- Own the client financials, including forecasts, budgets and investments, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are mutually understood and agreed upon
- Oversee budget tracking throughout a program’s lifecycle collaborating with the Account and Finance teams
- Help drive the culture of Benchworks by supporting the development of team members through coaching, mentoring, and skill set enhancement
Your Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing /Advertising or related field
- 7+ years pharmaceutical agency experience including four years of client leadership experience
- Experience marketing pharmaceutical brands in multiple environments –
office, hospital, long-term care - Experience managing “high science” brands
- Familiarity with submissions with client’s Medical/Legal/Regulatory system/team
- Superior analytical skills and strategic thinking
- Superb communication, presentation and training skills – you are articulate, concise, engaging and effective
- Sound financial skills — able to understand key dynamics of managing business
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

ROLE OVERVIEW:
Benchworks is looking for an experienced Project Manager (PM) to join our team. This is a perfect opportunity for a confident, motivated, strong communicator who wants to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment while working with a great team of colleagues.
The PM is primarily responsible for the coordination, oversight and allocation of resources for creative projects within the agency as well as scope and budget management for executing creative projects – while also supporting the Agency’s strategic/creative marketing and growth initiatives.
The PM should be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures and be able to set/modify deadlines/milestones, lead and direct the work of others while monitoring and reporting the progress of projects to Account Services. The successful candidate will work collaboratively between our internal teams to manage all resources and coordinate all details required to deliver marketing projects on time, on budget and within project scope. In accepting ownership of the project’s success, a wide degree of creativity, problem solving and latitude with trust is expected.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create project estimates and monitor those projects with regards to agency hours, outside resource and vendor costs.
- Create project timelines including resource allocation.
- Interact with all department leads in developing schedules for multi-channel projects.
- Track/monitor job progress, including milestones to ensure deadlines are being met.
- Work with all project managers and digital/creative department heads to balance workloads of cross-functional team based on team member bandwidth, capability and client project priorities
- Monitor utilization rates of creative and digital staff with collective project managers to optimize productivity and efficiency of resources.
- Identify and clearly communicate project resource risks to digital/creative department heads in a timely manner
- Assist digital/creative department heads with outside resource management, including providing needed graphic standards, creative briefs and project requirements
- Manage expectations collaboratively with digital, creative, media, account services and production departments
- Troubleshoot and resolve project roadblocks or delays to move projects forward
- Monitor scope as outlined, flag scope creep and incremental requests to account services.
- Review projects for accuracy and alignment with project objectives
- Ensure work meets client’s objectives
- Release assets to production vendors and clients
- Onboard new staff on agency process, server organization and project management tool
- Ensure process is strictly followed
- Estimates and incremental estimates are approved prior to work commencing
- Attend kickoff, internal reviews, and client status meetings as necessary to ensure the project management tool is updated with staff assignments, project status, schedule updates and time entry
- Specifications/templates/requirements are obtained as needed
- Creative assets are saved and organized according to established agency best practices on server
- Creative assets are not released to media publishers, vendors, or clients without proper licensing
BASIC SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3-5 years proven project management experience managing traditional print and digital projects at an agency with multi-disciplinary teams
- BA in design, marketing, communications, management, or related field
- Working knowledge of project management tools (Workbook a plus)
- Software: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat
- Enthusiasm and passion for creative projects
- Soft skills such as problem solving, negotiating, teamwork and collaboration
- Knowledge of timelines and resources necessary for creative projects.
- Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
- Effective management of multiple, concurrent projects against aggressive timelines without compromising accuracy or quality
- Great interpersonal skills and a do-whatever-it-takes attitude
- Positive attitude and general spirit of teamwork

JOB SUMMARY
As a Sr. Analyst, you deliver data-driven strategic marketing insights to our clients, and maintain a laser-like focus on understanding the impact of marketing initiatives on improving the customer experience and driving business results. You work closely with our clients and colleagues across other disciplines within the agency. You are a Google Analytics master, a Tableau aficionado, and never met an Excel document you didn’t love.
Your passion for data and analytics comes through in your client delivery and presentation. You keep tabs on the pulse of what’s happening in the industry and share your joy and knowledge with the team and the client.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform data analyses including advertising performance analysis, website analytics, customer level data and segmentation, survey design and analysis, ROI modeling, lifetime value analysis, cross channel analysis, media mix analysis
- Create measurement strategies and learning agendas with input from internal teams
- Understand the client’s business, marketing initiatives, and customer experience goals in order to develop analytics methodologies for answering key business questions
- Present client deliverables in an articulate and easy-to-understand style with a clear storyline that addresses client business needs
- Serves as an evangelist for data-driven decision making, accountability, and a commitment to continuous optimization
- Identify new ideas and opportunities for analytic projects
SKILLS
- Manage, configure, and use Google Analytics and data visualization platforms (Google DataStudio/Looker, Tableau, etc.) to derive actionable insights for our clients’ business
- Strong storytelling and communication skills – see and share the story behind the data
- Work with account teams to translate client requests into analytic work plans
- Effectively communicate complex ideas to primary client contacts, both verbally and in writing
- Perform basic statistical analysis, such as calculating statistical significance, distributions, etc.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA or Master’s degree in quantitative studies (or equivalent work experience)
- 5+ years in analytics and/or marketing analytics; preferably in healthcare marketing or similar vertical
- Full knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets and its applications is a must
- Minimum (3) years of design or development experience with major data visualization platforms (ex., Google DataStudio/Looker, Tableau, etc.) to include dashboards, executive briefings, and/or front end visualizations
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with Google Analytics; experience with other web analytics tools is a plus
- Experience cleansing, manipulating, and transforming data
- Experience in the any or multiple areas below would be a plus:
- Prior experience with Google Tag Manager
- Experience working with transaction-level data
- Prior experience with statistical software packages (e.g. SAS/SPSS)
- Brand building/positioning/tracking
- Advertising (both online and offline)
- Marketing channel integration/media integration
- Management/strategy consulting
